Blast Off Birthday!

Blast Off!! These cards are soooo much fun to make!! And little kids especially love the moving parts. The rocket is pop-dotted to a penny and flies off to distant planets. What a fun card for a little guy to get on his special day!

Go Fly a Kite!

Go fly a kite! No really! I have to confess, I have a bit of a pop-dot obsession. If something can possibly be lifted from the page, I will try it! I always keep a small tin of dots in my work area. So, needless to say, this card really has a lift. :0) What is your scrapping obsession or must-have supply?

Great Catch

I wanted to make a more masculine card. I am really bad at it, I want to use bows, pink and lace on everything! I think I found a pretty good quote for it too. :0) The digi stamp is by Meljens Designs.

Best Friend Card

I've been trying to go through my stickers and rub-on's and use them up. I really like some of them but just don't know how to use them on a scrapbook page. Fortunately, they make wonderful additions to the front of a card! This smile-o-Meter sticker was one of my favorites and I think it makes a great card! On the inside, I used a rub-on that reads, "My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me." Great quote!!

As a Christian I really find that to be true. We need friends who are willing to tell us the truth in love. Even though at the time it may not always seem that they are bringing out the best in us, in the end they are God's tools, helping refine us for His purposes. God uses the people in our lives to show us our true self and He always makes a way to move us beyond who we are into who He has created us to be.

I hope that your best friend is one who will always tell you the truth, even if it hurts a little, so that God can prune away those branches that are not producing fruit and let the new branches spring up!

Thanks for stopping by, hope your week is off to a great start!

Thanks a Latte

I made this card with a man in mind. Too often I want to put ribbon, flowers and pink on everything I make! I wanted at least ONE of my 15 cards to be masculine. I hope I achieved that effect. The paper is from the Die Cuts With a View "The Guy Stack" and the stamp is Fiskars "Latte Love".

Romantic Altered Boxes

I really enjoy altering things. There's just something about taking a blank, boring slate and turning it into something new and beautiful. It reminds me of Christ's work in our lives...I was a pretty dull slate, lemme tell ya! But with Him, I am something completely new, something that I could never be on my own. Hope you enjoy this set, again using up some old (but very pretty) papers!

Friends Forever Card

I have been loving the look of these 3-D flowers on scrapbook pages and cards. I tried being cheap and making them myself but they never turned out. So when I was in Archivers the other day, they had the Sizzix die and so I had to have it to make these adorable little flowers. And they actually come out looking pretty good, who would have known!

A is for Always Card

Have I mentioned how much I like using the acrylic sheets?? I love having that little peek of the inside of the card. This is another attempt at using up some supplies, in this case, it's a leftover from a sticker sheet. Also, I enjoy layering buttons with other buttons or gems, super cute!

Little One Altered Journal

Here is another journal I made. These are really fun to make and are a great, unique gift item! I used to buy these at Target as they had a chipboard cover and kraft paper covered pen, so they had the perfect canvas to do anything I could dream up!

I Love Our Friendship

I wanted to finish up using some scraps that I had after making a set of 8 cards. I usually keep all of my scraps because you just never know when they'll come in handy! Here is what I made with them. The digital stamp is by Meljen's Designs.

Funky Card and Journal Set

These are some funky little projects I made a while ago. I was going through my papers and trying to use up some stuff I had for a while but didn't want to cut into. Do you have those papers too? Just too pretty or unique to chance messing up! :0) So, I really enjoy working with the acrylic paper, so much fun to be able to see through to the other side.

Have a good day!

Hero

I have a new card just in time for the 4th of July! I love these stamps! The star can be found here and the word art is a freebie and can be found here. And if you want to know what the papers are I would have to go look at my scraps because I can't remember offhand. :0)

I know there is a lot of controversy over war and all that surrounds it but I think it is very important to remember that there are many soldiers who are doing what they do because they believe their sacrifice is worth it. For freedom. Though we never find true freedom apart from Jesus Christ, we are very blessed to live in a country where we can freely express our love for the Savior. We have freedoms that other nations pay dearly for. It is important for us to remember those who have served, lost and died so that we can go to church every Sunday and own as many Bibles as our wallets can afford.

This 4th I will be thinking of the brave men who founded our country, those who risked everything so that I could be here writing this. I will be thinking of those soldiers who, right now, are away from their families. I will be thinking of the man who lived, died and rose again so that I may not only have a "good life" here on earth but that by His grace I will some day see His face and live with him in Freedom unimaginable.

Now on with the pictures. :0)

Ever After

I love doing wedding cards. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's the simplicity. Maybe it's the pure colors. Maybe it's the elegance. Maybe it's all of the above! Here is my latest card creation.

Amused - Card and Tag Set

Here is a new card/tag set. I really love the colors and those cute cherries. They can be for any occasion, although the sentiment says, "Blessed are we who can laugh at ourselves, for we shall never cease to be amused." Hope you like it!

Altered Wedding Boxes

Here are some altered wedding boxes I made. I love black, white and pink for weddings...ok, black, white and just about any color is good to me! Wouldn't this be an adorable way to give a gift and also give the new couple something to store wedding keepsakes in?

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You Card

I love, love, loved this paper when I saw it at Archivers! I bought two sheets and have hesitated to cut into it. But I did it last night and I am fairly happy with how it turned out. I will get two projects from one sheet of paper. The other project will hopefully be done soon! ;0)

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by! :0)
